15% Less knotted

About This Project

“15% less” series is dedicated to crafting tailored garments while minimising waste at every step of the production journey. It explores fabric production techniques  to produce garment patterns instead of a rectangular piece of fabric.

“15% Less Knotted” represents a segment within the larger “15% Less” series, with a specific focus on the modification of textile production techniques to align precisely with fabric strength requirements.  Every garment in this collection is meticulously crafted from upcycled silk waste, sourced from small-scale weaving cooperatives in India.

Furthermore, by employing low-tech manufacturing techniques in a mindful manner, the project also aims to support and uplift grassroots communities by offering opportunities for skill development and employment.
